September 11 - Mearrik is born at McMaster University Hospital at 8:25 pm, 5 lbs. 2 oz.
September 13 - the tests on Mearrik's brain and heart come back the same as before birth, ie. there are defects present, however they are not able to say what kind of future impairments (if any) they will cause. For now he must stay in the NICU until he gains a little weight and is able to eat without assistance (feeding tube).
September 20 - Mearrik comes home from the hospital
September 24 - Mearrik has his first well-baby checkup. He has gained 6 oz. since being released from the hospital on Monday. He now weighs 5 lbs. 9 oz.
October 18 - Mearrik now weighs 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is as strong as a horse! He holds his head up unassisted and is able to push himself up.
